Dear, Dear Charles:

It is the aspect of your explanation that I find prosaic, not the plying of
your trade, and certainly meant to infer no hint of impiety one way or the
other.  BUT, I think there is more cunning in the crafting if the parallel
between Christ's three days in the tomb, and then the ressurection -- the
glorious victory over death (Scrooge's old life) is allowed to awaken the
minds of your readers that NO life is beyond hope because through Christ,
redemption is now available to all...  but not all are brave enough to take it
since the pathway to humility leads through humiliation -- a virtue with which
you, from childhood experience, are very familiar.

But then, as with poetry, since the poet finds the harmony of his words strike
different chords with ALL his readers, maybe a revelation to one becomes a
wall to another.

Right!  ...mum's the word.  Nudge, nudge.  Wink, wink,
