My dear Ramsey Ruelas,

Yours is a good question which, alas, I cannot answer. Neither I, nor my
assistant Dr Parker, in charge of the museum in my old home at 48 Doughty
Street, have ever seen a "Tale of Two Cities" film.
Speaking more generally on film versions of my works, I have to tell you
that they have inspired in my breast every feeling from elation to
despondency, much as stage dramatisations of my books did in my own day.

Faithfully yours,

Charles Dickens
