My dear Mr Parsley,

Theophile Gabelle, as well as postmaster of the village of St Evremonde,
had been a devoted servant of the St Evremonde family. Needless to say,
other members of the family had conveniently forgotten their debt to him.
Not so Charles Darnay, whose rescue attempt is the repayment of a debt of
honour.

Faithfully yours,

Charles Dickens
