My dear Mr Marks and Mr Yount,

My unprofessional enjoyments are many, though for an imaginative writer, I
have to say, there is little grist not destined for the mill of his
imagination. I enjoy walking and observing. I enjoy dining with my
friends. The theatre is my passion. There are some sports I delight in,
particularly pugilism. How sad it is that you now impair this manly
exercise with soft gloves. Needless to say, I enjoy reading.

Faithfully yours,

Charles Dickens
