A cheeky request

Dear Sir,

The children at my school aren't quite up to reading Mr. Dicken's novels...yet.

However, many of our pupils are very keen to know how our great great
grandparents might have lived. Would it be possible for them to put
questions to you about the daily lives of people who lived at the time that
Mr Dickens was writing?

Our children are interested in things like - what was it like to go to school?

How did rich people live?

How did poor people live?

What did people do in the evenings if there was no TV?

Would it be alright for us these things of the great Mr Dickens even though
we might not have read his books?

Yours sincerely,

Jeremy Fathers, Headteacher, Blythe Special School.
