You are both (with many others) subscribers to the BOZ list at St Johns
University. When your reply to an email that comes through a discussion
list, the reply is sent back to the list and distributed to all other
subscribers.

Thus, this is a conversation quickly going nowhere. As listowner, it gives
me an opportunity to let all know that the list will shortly be closed down,
due to lack of support.

I started it for schools, impersonating the style of Charles Dickens,
several years ago, and my place was eventually taken by Dr David Parker
(then Curator of the Dickens Museum in London and a far better 'Charles
Dickens' than I had been). Dr Parker has long since retired and has other
fish to fry -- also, there doesn't seem to be much call for students to
question the Inimitable Mr Dickens about his works, therefore I shall not
attempt again to imitate him and I take it upon myself to close this list as
of 1st September and to remove the web-page at
http://atschool.eduweb.co.uk/chatback/ which was its public face.
