The Bayer/NSF Award for Community Innovation

Resources Available To New Coaches and Student Teams

Bayer/NSF HomePage

The Bayer/NSF Award for Community Innovation is sponsored by the Bayer Corporation, the National Science Foundation, the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation, and Discover Magazine. The contest's homepage contains the competition rules and guidelines, frequently asked questions, an entry application, a listing of winning student projects, and general information.

Past Student Entries

This growing list of entries is a wonderful resource for student researchers and teacher/coaches who are entering the competition for the first time. The entries are excellent examples of past regional and national winners.

Team Coaches

The names and addresses of past teacher/coaches are made available to teachers who are thinking about entering the competition. Their experiences in the competition can be a valuable resource to teacher/coaches and student teams as they prepare their written entry, model, and display.

Regional Coordinators

There is a regional coordinator for the competition in all ten regions of the nation. They know a lot about the competition and are readily available to help teacher/coaches and student teams as they prepare their written entry, model, and display.
