I am a teacher preparing to teach the novel NIGHT by Elie Wiesel, a
survivor of Auschwitz and Buchenwald. I am surprised at how little some
of my students know about the Holocaust. It seems that no matter what
material I present to them, they don't believe that it really happened.
Is there anyone who would be willing to give me a bio of themselves or a
detailed personal account of what they may have experienced during the
war? I understand that it must be difficult to talk about for many of
you, but I think that a personal account will make an impact with my
students. I am a strong believer that our students must be made aware of
our history's atrocities, so it may never be forgotten or repeated.
Thank you so much for any help you can give me.
