Dr. Jan Mokrzycki is correct when he takes the German word
Kindertransport and translates it literally and technically into English
by saying it means the transportation of children.
However, when you use that word while referring to World War II and
the Holocaust, it means only one thing and that only. It refers to the
historic event of Great Britain saving the lives of 10,000 young children
from the Holocaust.
There are indeed enough books and historical references to document
that. Furthermore the British House of Commons has just approved
in principle the idea of hanging a commemorative plaque in Parliament
to remember the event permanently. That will take place shortly.
