Concerning the children games during the war, my memories of special
games during the war are scarce. We would play
the usual games of "tag" and marbles. We did a lot of "Cowboys and
Indians" games (our fathers had all read Karl May and his extremely
popular Indian stories) and of course "war games" with home made weapons
and stuff we had stolen from the Germans, we also used to do a lot of
circus performances with our dogs and cats and our friends.
