This is a good opportunity to mention that our volunteer
assistant from the City University of Paris, Alexandre
Delattre, has been slaving away this last 4 weeks doing
a complete redesign of our MEMORIES OF 1940's web pages.

This involves a completely new look for almost all of the
stories from the online panel of elders, and also several
new stories (including 3 submitted by students of Kurt Wittmann
in Germany, and others from Lithuania and Italy).

These pages are designed to be printed and distributed to
a class of students in order to promote discussion, or to
generate questions to be sent to the panel. Some of the
material is quite extraordinary (look especially for the
Nazi Party leaflet given to families in Vienna which explains
who is a jew, or a half-jew, or a quarter-jew. This was
sent to us by Lotte Evans, the VIENNA SCHOOLGIRL).

We have more stories coming from France and Norway, and by
the beginning of the UK school year (September 3rd) we
expect to have everything in place.
