Dear readers,

Its always a bit embarassing to blow one's own horn. I read Mary's
letter about a book of war memories. I'd like to mention that I have
also written a book of my personal memories as a child during the German
occupation in Holland. It's published in french "La guerre dans ma cour"
(the war in my backyard), and I'm looking for an english publisher. It
has been very well received here in francophone Canada and I met at
least 800 children until now to talk about those memories. A production
company is evaluationg the possibility to make a feature film with the
book. The unique value of the 20 odd memories is the fact that they
reflect the point of view of an 11 year old boy who lives with the
ennemy in his own house and who is looking for the liberators. If you
know somebody who is interested I'd be glad to help.

Au revoir
