My name is Pat Senneville and I teach high school students at Our Lady
of Mt. Carmel High School.  We are watching a documentary on the
Holocaust.  In it a survivor said that before the Olympics held in
Berlin in 1936 the Nazis "cleaned up the city" and washed away any
derrogatory writing or picture, etc. against the Jews, such as on park
benches where it was writen "Not for Jews."  My students want to know
why nobody told the people in Berlin for the Olympics what was going on.
Why didn't they tell someone?
I have just a few days left to the school year, so a speady answer would
be appreciated.
