The value of discussing history is to identify mistakes, what was wrong as
well as what is right under certain circumstances. If leaders made bad
decisions, we can benefit by making sure those decisions are not repeated. In
our American history, we can identify decisions by our government leaders to
disarm our military after the shooting stopped. War followed without any
exception, giving us a lesson: Disarmament in a dangerous world is
dangerous, that causes war.
