Star of David

The middle school students asked why people just didn't wear the Star of
David.  While there may be a variety of reasons and certainly some did not
wear it, the Germans knew where to find the Jews.  Some lived in particular
regions of cities and some in entire communities which are no longer.  One of
the first things that the Nazi's did was to take a census which, for the
first time, included questions on ethnic group.  They used an early type of
computer to assist them.  Therefore, they knew where to find the Jews
