Dear Michael,

I'm not very familiar with the various school curricula concerning
the history of WW2, but my numerous contacts with elementary
and highschool students tell me that they know practically nothing
about that war. It's sad, but we won't learn much about from
history and may repeat its errors. WW2 is a tragic event, it is also
an vital lesson about life, human folly, courage, survival, the
brotherhood of mankind. Its more than what war movies have told
us. If we forget an event of such magnitude and impact, what
about the rest of the history of mankind. We should not tell that
terrible story only to condemn, but more to understand and learn.
We just cannot afford to forget it.
