Hello Carol

Thank you for your note.  Please use any of the materials you
find on our web site as 'discussion documents' for your class.

You might also find lots of interest in our archives, and here
are two ways you can get to them.

1 If you send the message 'index memories' to the listserver
  'listserv@maelstrom.stjohns.edu' it will send back a list of
  all the archive files, any of which you can 'get'.  There is
  also a database function which will select and send you
  messages based on a set of search terms.  Please write to me
  if you would like to know more.

2 If you have NETSCAPE you can tell it to go the address
  ftp://ftp.warwick.ac.uk/pub/chatback (my ftp area) and
  there you will find a set of files starting '1944a' and
  so on.  Click on one of those and then in Netscape's
  F)ile menu save it to your disk as text, which you can
  then read and edit as you wish.
