Hello Neel Sheth - I'm the LONDON SCHOOLBOY on the
panel of Elders.
That's an interesting set of questions you've put
to us, but the answer to number 20 all by itself
would fill a whole book. The other problems is that
almost all of the panel weren't in any 'unit' during
those years - we were just children, and although
we've had some wonderful responses from people who
saw active service (thank you, Sally MacLaren!) the
project is largely involved with the effect that
the war had on civilian women and children.
If Sally and other combattants would like to attempt
Neel's questions then that would be great, but it
might be better if those questions were put to one
of the lists that bring veterans together. I can
certainly recommend wwii-l@ubvm.cc.buffalo.edu and
I think there are other discussion lists as well.
