Dear Ms. Montgomery,
Although I am unable to help you find a speaker, I just wanted to take a
minute and reply to your letter.
I am a 21 year old student (currently taking my last year of the four year
elementary education program) at a Canadian University. I just wanted to
thank you for putting your effort in, to ensure that your students will have
a chance to actually speak to with people who were a part of World War II.
My grandfather was with the Canadian Air Force, in Bombay, India, during the
war. I was only two years old when he passed away, thus I don't recall any
of my time with him. However, it is great to know that there are people out
there who are attempting to have the younger generations recognize the
efforts of those who fought in (or helped during) the war.
Good luck in finding a speaker, and thank you again for providing your
students with such a fabulous opportunity. :)
Sincerely,
Erin M. Lyle
