I am currently trying to write a lesson on rationing during WWII and am
seeking the perspectives and memories of people who lived in a nation other
than the U. S. during the war. I was inspired to do this to complement a
lesson that I have written on rationing in America by the message written by
Jan Mokrzycki last week. What I'd like to have are some short remembrances
of rationing even statements that are more emotional than factual. I plan on
starting the lesson by asking students to examine the statements and compare
them with statements they made at the end of their participation in a
rationing simulation.
