Always nice to hear from a new member. I too was in the service as an
Army Nurse. I was stationed in Casablanca. In fact we, I was told,
were the first hospital to arrive there. It was on Christmas Eve of
1942 and I was with the 91st. Evacuation Hospital. We Moved up the
coast. While the unit was set up at Mostagnem ( not far from Oran), I
met an pilot. We moved eventually to Palermo, Sicily and this is
where we were married in 1943. As so often happened we were soon
separated. He went to the CBI theater and my outfit headed for England
and then to Normandy and followed through to Germany and was involved
to the end of the war.

My husband stayed in the reserves and retired from them. After
returning to this good old USA, we moved many, many times and after
retiring in 1976, we moved west and are now living in Sun City,
Arizone and enjoying it here. He is an avid golfer and I am a very
active volunteer for Hospice. We have three dughters, nine
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Who knows, along the way we may have crossed paths. If you are
interested, I'd like to hear from you again, though I doubt I'd have
any questions for you. Sally
