I have been writing directly to individual, but in reading the other replies
I want to recommend JACOB'S RESCUE to the entire group.  The book tells about
life in Warsaw during the war as Jacob is taken from the getto and hidden by
a family.  A number of Poles are encountered who have different feelings
about the situation and express their views.  The reader gets a large range
of emotions from the family and the final battle for Warsaw is recorded in
some detail.  It includes a description of many things that are often missing
from other books and is a good addition to any reading list even for we older
