When you subscribed to the list I'm sure you saw (in the
WELCOME message) that we are more interested in this aspect
of World War 2 - the effects on civilians and the dreadful
chaos of the after-war years - than we are in reliving
combat stories.

If you think it's appropriate I would welcome some brief
notes from your father's letters about such things. I
think it would help young people still at school to learn
and understand what it was like in those days.
