In response to your query, Mary, re wartime propaganda, I do have a picture
book of anti-British politcal cartoons, that came from Germany. I can look it
up for publisher if it is of interest to you.

I always felt the U.S.Army "Why We Fight" films were a kind of "propaganda"
to stir up our hatred and instill revenge, needed probably by us peace-minded
kids who'd never even been in a neighborhood fight! And, of course, what the
enemy were doing was hideous and terrible. I remember sitting in large Army
Camp theaters watch a series of such films. They must be stored somewhere. I
even remember one line: "Scott, who knows the enemy's language, steals up to
their foxhole to learn their plans".!!! A depiction, obviously, of Army
reconnaissance.

Hope this may be of help.
