Re: Memories of propaganda
Over a month ago I asked for information on rationing. Today I'd like to
know what you remember about the propaganda that was used by all sides both
to prop up their people and do attach and bring fear about their enemies.
I'd appreciate know this from all sides, but please tell me who was creating
any specific slogans, posters, or radio broad casts. Today we assume that
these tactics were really important and that the people did believe them.
Well what are your memories about this did people really make references to
them in their conversations and actions. How did you know whom to believe?
or is this a dumb question and did you have no choice. Did the underground
use any propaganda or was this too dangerous to even consider? Can you
describe any poster or the content of any speeches or slogans for me? Thanks
in advance for your input. I always find it very interesting.

Yesterday, I read a letter asking why the bombing of German cities. I was
always under the impression that the decision was made to carry the war to
Germany and the German people and asking for the unconditional surrender was
because of the claim that Germany had not lost WWI because she was not
invaded. Am I right about this or is this incorrect information taught in
the textbooks or by my teachers? Mary
