Kevin - has posed questions like: "Why didn't ever consider the
American and British Air Forces one of the horrible death camps as a
target and turn it into a pile of rubble ?? .. Many innocent might
have perished but might it saved many many more ??"

You have received several answers to your enquiry already. I may
add something I have read in several papers and books on the intelegence
works during World War 2. The Polish Underground reported to London about
new camp constructions of different layout and buildings. Many of these
reports have been put aside. The "WHY" could be explained by those only who
had received them. Lot of time had passed including many months of specula-
tion about the purpose of these camps. Add to it, that Polish Underground's
reports had been under scrutiny with respect to their reliability as well
as the probability and purposes. Similar case happened with German rocket
tests and other during the WW2.
However, the American and British Air forces did hit several labour
camps by coincidence or just bad luck. The casualties and losses have been
heavy of the camps' inmates. They were of different nationalities, creeds
and societies races and have been incarcerated in these concentration camps.
They have used to forced labour until they perished or were liberated by the
Allies. Never did an Air Force bombardement of any camp - coincidential or
accidental - SAVED ANYBODY! At such occassions many were killed, mutilated
and injured to perish later anyway. None of these victims couldn't helped
anybody to slip away the destiny - somebody else did executioner's work.

Despite all what's written re: Kevin's letter, I have to exspress
my deepest CONCERN about questions alike put forward to the Panel of Elders
by pupils or students. [Please, read my letter Ref. MEMORIES.E26 again!]

Tom said .. "JUST A SENSE OF SHOCK". .. As for me is it the same.
I must ponder and wonder about the educators' FEELINGS and SENTIMENTS too.
Haven't they any imagination and consideration when asking such questions
in disguise? Now-a-days, the information media are flooded us with words,
tunes and pictures of the most brutal scenarios of disposing the humankind
to its finality. Here are few thoughts of mine re: REACTIONS to the recent
inquiries about FEELINGS and/or SENTIMENTS .. and BOMBING TARGETS.
   a. How would you feel about being hit, crippled or killed by a FRIENDLY
FIRE? Do you remember the scenes on TV screens during the Gulf War?
[I don't dare mentioning the Vietnam scenarios at all.]
   b. What would be your sentiments in case somebody dear or close to you
has been injured, mutilated for life or killed in an attack like say
      in Oklahoma?
   c. Do you remember TV reports by CNN and others about concentration camps
in the used of "ethnic cleansing" in Bosnia (1992+) recently?
   d. Why did thousands and thousands of inmates in the concentration camps
      - children, grown-ups and elderlies - left their homes carrying some
little bits of their possesions with them?
   e. Why haven't these apprehended thousands ever commited a mass suicide?
   f. Did those thousands of people, who took of all their cloth entering
the shower-rooms, had just a minute moment of any hope? Did they ever
expected getting alive out of the concentration camp?
   g. Would you ever have any hope of surviving under extreme duress?
   h. What about ridding yourself of any oppression - out of your own effort
and under risk of your own life?
   i. What about being liberated by somebody else knowing that many have
      perished next you before?
   j. How would you consider such a liberator who caused torments and deaths
      to miserables like yourself too?

                                ******

Please, consider for a while the above thoughts. Wake up the ideals
and hopes by shaking up your in-born insticts. These instincts as well as a
brave and considerate spirit would be of help in your life, believe me. I'm
telling these from my own experience wishing you the best success. Sincerely

Zvonko of Oak Hill alias CROATIAN SOLDIER .
