Thanks for very interesting summary of the V1 and V2.
I was in London in 1944 (December) when the V2s were coming in. One hit the
piano department of Selfridge's a few hours after I had visited there!
My best buddy was in London a week later and was almost hit himself. He spent
hours helping to rescue people from the debris.
We both served with the Combat (not much!) Engineers, serving Third Army
headquarters (General George Patton!).
