More about doodlebugs...

Schools might like to know that it was the Polish Home
Army (Polish Underground) that came across the test-
ground for the doodlebug in Western occupied Poland and
at great risk they first managed to obtain some pieces
and then, eventually, a complete unexploded bomb.

This was analysed secretly at the Department of
Engineering at the University of Warsaw and the
engineering drawings and critical parts were brought
over to England by underground couriers.

If anyone wants further details I could find out the
name of the book which fully describes this operation.
