    I feel you have an excellent chance of finding things out about your
grandfather. The beginning has to be in you attic. Find as much as you can,
not just an organization but any military names associated with his name.
    Examples:-Squad,Platoon,Company,Batallion,Regiment,Division,Army. All
information of this kind will help. It will also help to know his serial
number. If there are any letters or written documents,get the names of any
people mentioned,and their rank if you can.
    I would then send it again to MEMORIES and I would contact a local
chapter of The Veterans of Foreign Wars and/or The American Legion. You
will be impressed with their willingness to help you.
