A sequel to WAR BOY has just been published. AFTER THE WAR WAS OVER by
Michael Foreman focuses on Britain at the end of 1945...the "demob" suit
for men demobolized from National Service, sunning on beaches still
covered with barbed wire and mines, the gathering on "The Oval" cricket
ground below the cliffs of Lowestoft to spell out "God Save the Queen"
with colored cards... It's a visual treat and wonderful "memoir"
published by Arcade (Little Brown imprint).
