The answer to those questions is YES. I think his
experiences would be very valuable. I generally
point out to people who write to me asking about such
things that the MEMORIES List isn't really the place
for war or battle stories. There is a list called
wwii-l already for those. We try to deal with the
effects that war had on civilians, rather than people
involved in combat.
For example, Raymond de la Veaux was a pilot in the
Royal Canadian Air Force at the end of the war, but
his real value to us is that he was part of the Allied
Commission to Occupied Territories _after_ the war
and has a wealth of experience in the problems of
postwar reconstruction.
Would that fit in with Eugene Halski's stories?
