Dear Bella,
these stories are true and one of the many horrible things which have
hao\ppened. The effects of them are still with us. Some of the parents in
Poland traced their children, some have taken them back but many of the kids
were left with scars, not knowing who they are.
I would suggest you write to The Polish Cultural Attache at the Polish
Embassy in Washington, they should be able to supply some reading material
etc

If you have difficulty wrte to me again and I will see what I can do but it
will be a lot easier and cheaper done locally
With best regards

Jan Mokrzycki

> I am an American woman, born in 1946. I have lived in Texas for my whole
life. God has given me a wonderful husband and three beautiful girls who are
grown now. I sell used books on the internet as a hobby. I have lived a life
of great freedom and plenty.
> My father was in training at the end of the war so he never left America.
Being born at the end of the war, I was very conscious of the soldiers
returning home. My father gave me a great respect for what they had been
through to ensure my freedom.
> I was small when television first began here in America. In the early
1950's the programming was live and very limited. News was on for an hour at
noon and then nothing until evening. It was over by nine or ten o'clock. To
fill in the time in between, the stations showed many short news reports
from the war. When I was about ten or eleven, I saw a documentary called
"Lebensborn". It was several hours long, so they spread it over several
days. I remember rushing home from school to see it before the regular
programming started. It should have been far to advanced for a child of my
age, but I was fascinated.
> It started with the maternity homes in Germany and then progressed to the
kidnapping of children with Aryan characteristics in Poland and other
occupied countries. It gave eyewitness accounts of the abduction of children
and the transport to sites in Germany where they were "reprogrammed" with
extreme psychological torture. Afterward they were given to German families
to raise. The theory of the "Master Race was given in detail. Testimonies
were given by many mothers, fathers, and a few of the recovered children. I
somehow related deeply, first to the children and then later to the parents.
> It touched me so deeply that I have never forgotten it. These images have
never completely leave me.
> I would appreciate any information or sources that can be provided to me
concerning the children or the reprogramming camps. I do not know where I am
going in collecting this information. I only know that I do not rest; it has
never left me and I feel I must touch others that went through this horror.
Thank you for listening to me.
