Dear Eberhard My daughter is 15. Her parents were both born after WWII, father in the US and mother in Nederland---both have bee plagued by dreams of WWII since forever. Somehow, our daughter has learned about geopolitics without my ever having said much about it. Her wisdom at this age, compared to mine in the sixties, astounds me. But it is not unique in her generation. I work with kids all the time, and I see them as head and shoulders above their parents in wisdom. Take heart! My dear one was born with an ineradicable streak of justice down her personality. "Fair" is the first four-letter word she learned. She has championed the underdog---or been a brave underdog---since she was a tyke. Every day she shows an insightful and humorous acumen far beyond her years. She is the best company on the planet. And, like the "Psychic Children" now popping up everywhere, she has a grasp of what is happening to Gaia beyond that of the parental generation. Blessings on our wondrous children. If we can just keep them from drugs and the sick pursuits this world offers, they wll find a way to make the world whole at last. I believe it! And I stand up to serve as caregiver for the generation of my grandchildren, who will inherit, at last, a better world than their parents did.
