I'm trying to write a love story about a young American couple during WWII. The girl is a second generation Italian American immigant. Would she have finished high school? Gotten a job after? Enlisted? Lived with her parents or gotten an apartment with a group of girl friends? Would she have suffered any discrimination for being Italian?
