Some suggestions for literary references relevant to The American Dream
1930-1950;- Sinclair Lewis, many novels on social topics such as small town
life, revivalist religion, salesmen, women',s movement, parents and children,
advertising, race relations, native American problems.........
He was the first American to be awarded the Nobel prize for literature, in
1930.
Other writers: Theodore Dreiser, John Dos Passos, John Steinbeck , Thornton
Wilder, Damon Runyon,O'Henry...........
Good luck from one who read her way through these.
