Does anybody remember the good old days when life was free to do as you wish, when you could walk down the street and not worry about anything or anybody lurking in the shadows, when all people were friendly and loved to chat, whereever you were, when you could just be yourself with no frills or phony attitude put ons, when a movie had two features with news and a cartoon, when taking a drive meant liesurely driving down a country road in awe at the beauty without all those humguous signs blotting out the landscape, when you could stop in for a cup of coffee, for a dime, maybe a quarter, and get lots of conversation with it if you wanted it, or just peaceful quiet time, when there was such a thing as a kind, friendly neighbor with no expectations, when you would go to the city park, or any park on a sunday afternoon for a picnic and meet others who also were doing the same and usually strike up a great friendship, in other words when life was simple and wonderful - you had your job, 8 hours a day, got paid a good pay for a good job, enabling you to pay your bills on time, remember when rent was supposed to be only comparable to one weeks salary, ya fantastic. People cared about people and showed it in many ways, nobody gave a bad time, at least as todays ideal, life was really kind of great for nobody was a stranger, and nobody felt a stranger, and nobody killed anybody, either with kindness or malice, life was really filled with love - gads I wish it were so today, thanks for letting me share and God bless you. --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
