Ladies underwear in the UK before the war was either cotton or silk. The railing were NOT made into weapons - it was just a propaganda exercise, as these were made from cast iron and not suitable to be made into anything. Aluminium saucepans were NOT collected for re-use; scrap metal was certainly recycled but only what had been naturally discarded. After all, as most people only had aluminium pans it would have been very silly to collect them all in now wouldn't it? You should really check your information before putting it up on any list.
