What is the sudden interest in the Hitler Youth research in schools?, it
seems to be nationwide in scope
and reoccurring in nature?

This also seem to be a central theme that has expanded to many schools
to write upon this subject.

Where is this direction coming from and why?

Perhaps the students should be instructed on how and where to do
research (on the internet) prior to being given research projects.

It really is not normal for children to ask adults for help unless they
cannot find the answers by themselves, at least that has been my
experience. Kids at that age are in the 'I'd rather do it myself' mode.

The schools should really provide the students with a list of resources
for their thematic projects to at least give them some direction and get
them started.
