Tim, I was absolutely THRILLED to hear of your experiences. I am doing
this for school but have always had a great interest in World War II.
Your account is absolutely axciting to me- suddenly its like being
connected to the time. That is probably the hardest about learning
history, to realize that all the dry words describing past times
happened to flesh and blood people. Sometimes it takes a good
imagination to know that all the black and white, blurred pictures
were vivid and colorful scenes.

Your account was so thorough I can't think of any questions!
However I think even after this paper I'm going to keep up with this
site so everyone will probably be hearing my questions from time to
time. I keep getting distracted from my subject by going through the
archives of this site reading all the e-mails. The only firsthand
accounts of World War II I've heard are usually stories of other
peoples experiences. I really can't express how excited I was to read
your e-mails so I guess I can only really say "thanks" and you'll be
hearing from me.

          Chris

p.s. I submitted the two e-mails by accident---oops! only meant for
one
