A family that lives down the street from me are Handels (I live in a Germanic community) but he makes wrought iron, a lost art. At one time the Handels were an outrageously prolific family in Germany and most made their living through music. It was a common phrase in Germany at that time to say "get a Handel" for "get a musician". Just thought that I would add that little interesting factoid.
