Well, well.  I must tell you that I am not at all impressed by what
passes for culture or honour in Japan - in the context of our current
discussions.  I am sure such overbearing pride and arrogance was also
a feature of early European civilisation back in the 'age of chivalry';
but in the 20th century behaviour of the kind which the Japanese people
inflicted upon other nations, near and far, was inexcusably vicious and
depraved. They got off very lightly, I think.
