I don't know what Zapfenstreif is either, but since bliesen looks like the past tense of blasen (to blow, as in bugle); and since Zapfenstreich (streich/streif?) means a retreat (among other things), this could mean 'they've sounded Retreat', which may be a way of saying - if you're still outside the barracks you're AWL (or AWOL)! Someone must know the words to the whole song, and someone must be able to translate into English - or even english. Tim
