Yes - you should find a shop in Portsmouth or Southampton or
Chichester with the name "Past Times". They sell two books that will
be exactly what you are looking for. "We'll Eat Again" is a
collection of wartime recipes, and there is a similar book by the
same author called "The After-war years".

The wartime ones will challenge your buying skills; not much chance
of buying whalemeat steaks or snoek (barracuda) in these enlightened
times! For dried egg powder, however, you might try Holland and
Barrett or look up 'catering supplies' in your yellow pages, and you
can still buy swede (rutabaga) in your local shops.

Good luck - sounds like fun!
