. I'm being very daring and cross-posting this to three maelstrom lists because subscribers on each of those have been discussing these things recently. My apologies to anyone who is on all three lists! I came across a book of wartime recipes "We'll eat again" by Marguerite Patten and did a search for it at AMAZON.COM and found lots by her, but not the one I wanted. HOWEVER - if you look for her books at http://amazon.co.uk you'll find it, PLUS another intriguing book with the title "Post-war Kitchen - nostalgic food and facts". I've just bought that and I'm absolutely awash with nostalgia!! (Whatever happened to all the snoek we no longer eat - do they now swim safe and sound, or they they fish-fingered these days?). ======================= Tom Holloway tom.holloway@u3a.org.uk Tel: (+44) (0) 1926-771772 Fax: (+44) (0) 1926-771707
