The International Math Olympics encourages all students in a class to learn their addition and multiplication facts with both accuracy and speed. There are individual events and class average events to encourage team spirit and effort by all class members.
During the annual Math Olympics competition in the spring of each year, certificates are awarded to all classes that participate and ribbons are given to top three winners in all events.
The bi-monthly Math Olympic Warm-Ups are practice competitions that help teachers and students prepare for the main event. The Math Olympic Warm-Ups are divided into competition for those using the older Number Munchers software and those using the new Math Munchers software. The annual Math Olympics utilizes Speedway Math software in addition to Number Munchers and Math Munchers.
