. This discussion list has never quite taken off in the way we had hoped, and so I propose to close it down during the next few days. And yet the theme it tried to explore is still of great interest (and increasing interest) to many schools. During the last two weeks I've had three requests for information about wartime rations and recipes. So we propose to merge the list and the associated website into the MEMORIES project (http://visitweb.com/memories), which will now have a section devoted to food and recipes - not just from Britain, but from as wide a range of countries as possible. If you receive notice that you've been added to the MEMORIES list, but feel it might take too much of your time, just write to me (but NOT to the list please) and I'll take you off.
