OLD FASHIONED MEDICINE

So many people in England seem to be going
back to the natural remedies of yesteryear
to treat all kinds of injury and illness.

Lotte tells us about the Meerzwiebel leaf
and its antiseptic qualities.  Leeches are
being used in hospitals again to clean wounds
which have not responded to antibiotics.

I have heard of honey being used as an
antiseptic, particularly on ulcers.
Can anyone tell me more about this?

Then there was the dreaded Bread Poultice!

Did you run to find a Dock leaf when you fell
into 'the stingers'?
