Help, help! I need to know what "pottage" is by Friday, Jan. 3, 7:45 AM US EST. One of our children (at school) had been to a dinner during the holidays and had met a couple from England. They told her they had pottage, but didn't tell her what pottage was. I thought she meant "porridge", but she was very definite, it was "pottage". I told her I would ask my friends and let her know tomorrow. Could someone please tell me, what is it made of, and how is it served? Thanks, Julia. :)
