Greetings all, Thanks to Tom Holloway in Warwick, who so kindly mentioned on Elders that a new project was being started, I have joined your list. Obviously, I'm not a granny, but I qualify as an Elder being 67. I live in Manhattan, which is the hub of New York City, in the State of New York on the East Coast of the United States. I will be looking forward to the line of discourse this group will take and I hope to join in to help the discussion along. In our home lives, my wife, Maria (who is an Argentine) and I share the cooking of our meals. Many of the dishes she prepares are meals her family used to enjoy in Buenos Aires. Naturally, the meals I like to make and enjoy eating are the ones I've watched my grand mother and then my mother prepare. By combining our backgrounds, gives us a nice variety. Both Maria and I experiment a lot by picking up new cookbooks and searching out recipes that sound like they would be excitingly different. We will be happy to share some of them with you. I'm looking forward to reading your messages. Bud - NYC
