WAR!

We at FNS are sad to bring you the news, the Federation Council has issued a declaration of war against the Dominion. This second dominion war started with an attack upon Gateway Outpost, which our readers will remember is the most outlying outpost that Starfleet operates. It is located near the gamma quadrant side of the wormhole, an opposite to Starbase 9.

A press release from the Public Affairs Office at Starfleet Command was given, with this quote from from Vice Admiral Adam Heyting: "Starfleet is saddened by the adctions of the Dominion, who we have enjoyed a treaty with for the past fifty years. Starfleet never looks to start wars, we much prefer to entertain the notion that new planets are friends we just havent met yet, but once again we are reminded that the galaxy is a dangerous place, with many empires and people who wish nothing but conquest. We are not sure what started the Dominion back on the path towards open hostilities, but rest assured, we are securing Federation intrests all over Federation space, be it here at home or in the Gamma Quadrant."

This reporter is not naieve to just take Admiral Heyting's word at face value, and we can only hope that this conflict is resolved quickly with as limited amounts of bloodshed as possible.
